Will the ionic not work with windows phone? I was reading the information on the web site and saw a tiny note at the bottom that said "smart phone notifications not available on windows device". Does that mean that when fitbit said it supports windows phone its not fully supported?

I imagine this is down to the GATT server testing that is still in beta. I seem to recall ( it's a long time since I've used a Windows 10 mobile) that Microsoft have only recently implemented the require Bluetooth stack for notifications to work, and then only to those on Insiders Ring. I think Fitbit are still testing with the Blaze and there are some mismatches with various releases.
I'm to sure what the situation s with the Ionic and Windows 10 and would need proper info from Fitbit in this respect. You might want to pay a visit to the Windows 10 App forum, and more specifically the thread here Fitbit-for-Windows-Track-Notifications-Testing-GATT-Server
