IT SQUEAKS TERRIBLY!! Christina I am disappointed with this purchase. I had high expectations, as it's a nice frame, but unfortunately, it started to squeak just a few weeks after assembly, which itself took several hours. To make matters worse, I discarded the box and have misplaced my receipt, so I'm unable to return it. 2
Just the right choice Joderia Sleek modern quality product! 5My Full Mattress Does Not Fit My Full Malm Jennifer Sooooo, the delivery nightmare aside, once I received the correct size slats for my bed, and unpack the mattress that I purchased to lay it on top of the bedframe, it doesn’t fit. One side will fit into the frame and the other doesn’t. I thought, maybe I have to like you know, kind of force it to fit into the box. But I couldn’t do that. So I went on a deep dive, looking at the pictures on the website and on the Internet and then came to read these reviews and find out that I’m not the only one. what am I supposed to do now? 2
Whoever designed this bedframe probably did it in crayons. Natnan The slatted bed base component has slipped off multiple times on multiple bedframes I've purchased from ikea, resulting in the whole matress sinking to the floor. Solution: use super glue to keep it in place *facepalm* 2

Looks great! Ann This is my second MALM bed frame (my 1st was a full size) and I love how it looks. The quality is very good also; my only complaint is that the frame sticks out on the sides and I walk into it from time to time. 4

Standard mattress doesn’t fit Emily Purchased this bed and had it delivered. Assembled and the opening for the mattress is an inch too narrow for a full size mattress. Can’t return unless I drive 200 miles to the nearest store. Very frustrated and will not buy from IKEA ever again. 1
very good Magda easy assembly, good looking bed 4Do Not Buy! Kara This Bed Frame looks nice, but is very poorly designed. I have slept on it one night with my partner and it has already broken. When purchasing this bed frame in store, there are two boxes you need with parts for assembly, what they don't tell you, is that there is an *optional* third box with a support beam, which is located in a separate aisle/bin in store and costs extra. This support beam is NECESSARY, and if you don't have it, the bed WILL BREAK (but they don't tell you this). Without this middle support beam, there are 4 metal "beams" that go on the corners of the frame, that are the smallest, pieces of flimsy metal and are supposed to hold your entire box spring and mattress. Spoiler Alert: they don't! We now have a bed that is falling through the frame onto the floor while we wait for the support beam to arrive which we had to pay extra for. Buyer Beware! 1
A Big Drop in Quality John The headboard is two pieces instead of one, making it weaker. The connecting hardware is terrible compared to the last generation of hardware. The density of the material is half what it used to be, which makes for a lighter product, but a product that’ll last a quarter of the time as the older generations of Malm. The slats are a fraction of the thickness. The locking pieces are useless. Many pieces which used to be metal are now plastic. Such a disappointment. Clearly the designers and engineers are no longer at the helm at IKEA. IKEA is the Boeing of furniture. 1

Great Frames! Nu love the frames. very beautiful, sturdy and easy to install. 5Highly recommended but squeaky Joahan I bought this bed in black and queen size and it's hugee, I like the design very square and slim and looks very modern, just like a young man's bed. However the support is very squeaky when moving and some parts and screws were very cheap, so this bed can break easily if you accidentally fall on it or start jumping on it. Also the black paint is cracking on the edge supports and you can start to see the wood in only 1 year of owning the bed. I also got the mattress from Ikea and it's sooo comfortable. I recommend this bed. 5
